Welcome to the Theatre Department

We are a community of students, faculty, and staff who are committed to theatre education that combines scholarship and art. We seek to foster creativity, critical thinking, excellence, and professionalism through the integration of courses, productions, workshops, and other activities. We seek to understand theatre not only as a means of artistic expression and a form of entertainment but, as a window onto history, a method of inquiry into all things human, and a vehicle for social change.

We invite you to join us in this mission. For more information, contact any Theatre department faculty or staff member, look around this website, or just stop by the Robsham Theater Arts Center today and say hello.

Oct 18-21, 2018 (the U.S. premier!)
Robsham Mainstage

A funny, moving and topical portrayal of the world in flux, INVISIBLE explores the many sides of migration. Amid the world of visas and wind turbines, commuter flights and nightclubs, fairy tales and tabloid press, a chance meeting drives disparate lives towards a chilling point of no return. The Guardian calls it “A pungent new play that puts the flesh and bones on the statistics about transnational migration.”
