Professor Richardson is a health economist whose research focuses on how healthcare providers and insurers respond to financial incentives, as well as general issues around the Affordable Care Act (ACA). He is the lead author of the book, Enrolling in Health Insurance through the Affordable Care Act: A Texas Case Study. He has also written about how doctors respond to pay-for-performance incentives, as well as papers on end-of-life care. Richardson’s expertise has been utilized by media entities such as FoxNews.com, Politico.com, Harper’s, Dallas Morning News, WebMD, and The Incidental Economist.
