Welcome to the William F. Connell School of Nursing at Boston College, where we educate nurses to provide knowledgeable, skillful, compassionate care in a wide variety of roles. We don’t just graduate accomplished nurses, we prepare nurse leaders with the expertise and proficiency to change health care. We invite you to join your peers in obtaining the education and training necessary to transform nursing, both in the United States and around the world.
The Connell School of Nursing is a close-knit community of faculty, students, staff, and alumni who all have a common goal—improving health. We enjoy working together and are proud to be part of a leading Jesuit, Catholic university where each individual is valued, social justice is an integral part of our belief system, and we live by Boston College’s motto “Ever to Excel.”
Our faculty are passionate about improving health globally through educating the next generation of nurses. They are dedicated to providing first-rate, individual attention to each student and are equally dedicated to producing the science that nurses will need to transform health care efficiently and effectively.
Our students are women and men from around the United States who are committed to caring for others. They become part of our tight Connell School community and thrive academically on our beautiful campus.
Situated in close proximity to Boston, the Connell School offers students clinical experiences at the best hospitals and community agencies in the United States. Students hone their judgment and skills at Boston Children’s Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Massachusetts General Hospital, and many other excellent health care sites.
This is an exciting time in health, particularly given the national discussion of health care reform. The health care system still faces many challenges, especially a critical shortage of nurse leaders. Join us, and learn how you can help be the answer.
