Melissa Capotosto, RN, M.S., WHNP-BC is a clinical instructor at the Connell School of Nursing. She is a women's health nurse practitioner and graduate of Boston College's master's program. Capotosto currently works as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner at Neponset Health Center and Tufts. Prior to that, she worked at Boston Medical Center in labor and delivery. In that role, she monitored and provided obstetrical and gynecologic care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum women on a high risk unit, and worked with emergency medical residents in collaborating patient-centered care to an underserved female population. Previous to that position Capotosto worked in labor and delivery in The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Capotosto comes to the clinical instructor role with experience in global health. She led a group of students to Honduras, in 2008, where she facilitated discussions and reflections to help strengthen faith. She has also travelled to the Dominican Republic and Peru as a global volunteer.
