Dr. Monica O'Reilly-Jacob holds a PhD in Social Policy (concentrating in health services research) from the Heller School of Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University. Dr. O'Reilly-Jacob is a healthcare workforce researcher, focused on the quality and efficiency of care provided by care nurse practitioners (NPs). Her most recent studies use measures of low-value care and Medicare claims data to examine the efficiency of NP-provided care.
Dr. O’Reilly-Jacob is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with experience as a primary and urgent care provider in Spanish speaking communities across New England. Prior to entering the dual master’s program in nursing and pastoral ministry at BC, she completed 2.5 years of international service at La Finca del Nino, a rural orphanage in Trujillo, Honduras. She currently maintains per diem clinical practice at the Sykes Wellness Center at Phillips Academy Andover.
