Taylor D. Stewart is a first-year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program. She received her Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School, concentrating in spiritual counseling and the intersections of religion and psychology. Taylor desires to conduct research at the intersections of culture and psychology, placing a particular emphasis on multicultural competency given the increasing diversity present within community, organizational, and educational settings. She is also interested in conducting research that considers the psychological effects of religious/spiritual beliefs on coping and resilience. Taylor’s research explores how issues of identity - i.e. cultural, racial, religious belief - manifest themselves in specific environments as well as the psychopathology and psychological effects of being a minority within majority settings.
